DESCRIPTION: Come celebrate the release of longtime sustainability and ethical investment leader Michael Kramer’s new book, The Resilient Investor: A Plan for Your Life, Not Just Your Money (Berrett-Koehler, 2015). The book’s insightful framework expands the definition of investing to include time, energy, and money, engaging one’s personal, tangible, and financial assets in close-to-home, sustainable global economy, and evolutionary strategies that can help people, communities, and the planet thrive in these turbulent times. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

BIO: Michael Kramer is a Managing Partner of Natural Investments, a registered investment advisor with 30 years of expertise in sustainable and responsible investing. Michael has been an NI financial advisor since 2000 and a partner in the firm since 2007. He oversees the NI Social Rating of sustainable and responsible mutual funds, now in its 23rd year, and he coordinates the firm’s shareholder advocacy initiatives. He also serves on the Public Policy Committee of USSIF and writes the Sustainable Shareholder column at GreenBiz.com. A Los Angeles native, Michael has lived in Hawai`i for 15 years, where he has created HI Impact (a sustainable business and impact investing association), the Hawai`i Alliance for a Local Economy, and the Kuleana Green Business Program of the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce.
